Hello, friends, strangers, trainers, brothers, sisters.
This blog is our Lavender Tower, the place where our friends and partners are laid to rest. We remember our beloved friends togther -- their quirky natures, their epic victories, their noble, tragic ends -- because we know that here, in our shared memories and stories, they live on. They may not have made it to the Pokemon league, but we will remember them forever in the Hall of Fame of our hearts.
We are playing the Nuzlocke Challenge. That's where you play through a game of Pokemon with some added, honor-enforced rules, to increase the challenge... and the glory.
Rule: Only catch the first wild pokemon you encounter in each area.
Rule: When a Pokemon faints, it is gone. Forever.
It's a hard way to play. I'm on my fourth attempt (I'll write about the first three as I continue this one). It has been painful, but exhilarating, and I'm proud of how far my Pokemon have come.
We've been doing this for a few weeks now. Here's what's happened in our parties so far.
Paul's adventures: Got 4 badges in LeafGreen, 8 Badges and 3 of the Elite 4 in Pearl, 2 badges in SoulSilver. Currently at the 2nd gym in my second SoulSilver runthrough.
Joe's adventures: 7 badges in Emerald, about fight the elite 4 in LeafGreen!
Ron's adventure: 4 badges in FireRed, still going!
Ryan's adventure: 4 badges in Emerald, in progress!
Follow us as we chronicle our quests for glory, while remembering the brave Pokemon partners that fall along the way.
